Background

I was born in Amarillo, and grew up in Tulia, where I lived for 18 years. I was adopted at 5 days old by the best parents in the world, and am their one and only child. Though I'm not for sure, I believe I have Irish and German traits. I was sick a lot as a kid, having bronchitis many times and being hospitalized for pneumonia twice in the 1st grade. I've only had 1 broken bone, which was my wrist in kindergarten. Most of the rain scenes in 'Leap of Faith' were filmed at my house in the country. A couple of years later, we moved into town. Before moving, I was a total tomboy, loving the outdoors, football, wood working, etc. I loved my childhood, and when I think about the happiest times of my life, it was probably between 1985-1995. In June 1995 I became a Christian, and a year later was called into ministry. That I have yet to comply w/ God's will. In junior high, I threw discus and played basketball. In high school I was several officers in BPA including President, and went to state twice in contests. I was very active in band, being the percussion section leader many times and going to state w/ a timpani piece. I also was the yearbook editor, member of FHA, and was inducted into NHS. I met Jeremy in 1999, and we were married in 2001. I graduated 12th in the class of 2000 from Tulia HS. I've only been in one serious car wreck, resulting in my single ambulance ride. I now wear my seat belt. I went to ACU my first year of college and met some really great people. After getting married, I went to Texas Tech for a semester, but graduated from SPC in December 2006 with an associates degree in Computer Information Systems. I've moved 7 times in my life, which really isn't that many, especially since that includes moving back home for 2 months between Abilene and Lubbock. My first job was at Sonic on Judge Ely in Abilene. Good times and bad times are remembered there. Total, including working for Gen-Y and temporary jobs, I've had 14 jobs. I'm not proud of that, but not ashamed either. I've led a good live. Some struggles just like everyone else, but all in all, I can't complain. In no way does this conclude or include my entire background, as that is not for you to know, but it gives you a glimpse of my past.
